My recent stay at Mainstay Suites Detroit Auburn Hills for Easter was a mixed bag. While the hotel is ideally located just a short drive from the lively events at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired—an unfortunate flaw that overshadowed the potential charm of the space. The staff members, especially the night team, were genuine gems—helpful and friendly, transforming our stressful check-in into a comforting experience amid the chaos. The inclusion of laundry facilities and ample workspace in the suites caters well to both leisure and business travelers, showcasing the balance of convenience and comfort. the breakfast situation was quite disappointing; we found nothing out —like an artistic piece missing from a gallery. It’s a shame, given the location and potential of the hotel. I’d recommend it for its strategic position and personal service but hope they will elevate cleanliness and breakfast offerings in the future.
